Educational Technology

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) helps instructors explore and evaluate innovative ways to use learning technologies for teaching at Duke Kunshan University. Learning technologies facilitate faculty to promote collaboration, enhance communication, share multimedia, teach online, and more. In addition to supporting established learning technologies like Canvas, CTL also works with faculty and administrators to pilot existing and new tools, along with DKU Information Technology and Duke Learning Innovation and Lifetime Education.

Below we list some popular tools used at DKU. It’s not an exhaustive list. We are open to support your exploration of existing and new tools. Think first about what you want to achieve for your classes (learning outcomes), and what students will experience. Before adding the “latest and greatest” tool to your course, pause for a three-point pulse-check:

  • Is it truly effective at advancing learning?
  • Is it equally accessible to every student?
  • Does it guard their data as carefully as you do?

Pilot small, measure meaningfully, and exercise transparency. For anything related to learning technologies, course design and pedagogical recommendations, please email us: DKU_CTL@dukekunshan.edu.cn.
