Reminders
- All courses will be taught with Canvas starting in Fall 2024. The Canvas course sites for Fall will be created automatically by the system. You should be able to see all your Fall course sites under “Unpublished” on your Canvas Dashboard.
- If you want to request to have content from Sakai sites migrated to Canvas, you must fill in this Migration Request by August 2, 2024. Otherwise, your Sakai contents might not be available to you on Canvas before the Fall semester starts.
- All your Sakai sites will be accessible until June 2025 but in a “read-only” mode starting in Summer 2024. See the timeline here.
Explore Canvas
- All DKU full-time faculty, visiting faculty, and teaching staff are given a Sandbox Canvas Site to explore Canvas and practice. Only you can access and view the sandbox site unless you add people to the site. If you do not see your sandbox site, please contact CTL at dku_ctl@dukekunshan.edu.cn.
- Instructors now can request to have content from up to five Sakai sites migrated to Canvas at a time. Once you have submitted your request, the content on this page provides guidance for what you will need to do to ensure your Canvas sites containing migrated content are correctly set up.
- CTL workshop recordings:
- Session 1: Canvas Overview and Course Site Design
- Session 2: Canvas Assessments
- Frequently asked questions by DKU faculty and quick answers
- How-To Videos – A condensed version of Duke’s workshops; get the basics in under two hours.
